How do I become a Seminar Organiser?
If you would like to organise a Jin Shin Jyutsu seminar in your area, basic requirements are:
- Completion of at least 3 x 5-day Basic Seminars by authorised JSJ Spirit Mind Body (JSJ SMB) faculty
- Have a JSJ practice
- Be committed to growing JSJ Community
- Computer literacy
- Previous organisational experience
- Good interpersonal skills
An organiser is considered the cornerstone for their Jin Shin Jyutsu community therefore it is considered foundational for the person to have a JSJ practice, be teaching self-help, giving talks and providing or attending study groups in their area.
The role of organiser is considered a resource all year round, not only during the time of the class.
In New Zealand, the main centres for international classes are Auckland, and Christchurch.
The criteria for hosting an international 5-day class in a new location is that there are no other centres running classes nearby within the next 18 months.
There are at least 10 x New students and 20 x Review students in this new location to support an international 5-day class.
An organiser in a new location can offer a 5-day class in the first instance, before offering any Special Topic classes. The reason being that a 5-day class generates interest (and is a prerequisite) for the other STC classes.
If all the above fits your current profile, then please contact our current NZ organiser or JSJ SMB to discuss your proposition.
Please see guidelines below to help develop your community:
