Elizabeth Meadows from Nousoma practicing the art of Jin Shin Jyustu on client helping them feel more very relaxed and calmer

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

I have been studying and practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu since the year 2000 and have found it to be life changing both on a personal level and for many of my clients.

2. How did you first discover Jin Shin Jyutsu, and what inspired you to explore it further?

I started receiving Jin Shin Jyutsu to help me over a stressful period of my life and found it so beneficial I encouraged my son to receive a couple of treatments.  He had been struggling with digestive issues and had been to a gastroenterologist.  He had undergone lots of tests all to no avail.  After 2 treatments he has never looked back and always comes to me for a top up whenever he feels a little ‘off’.

3.  What do you love most about practicing (or sharing) JSJ?

I love the fact that you can help yourself and don’t always have to visit a practitioner…. It is so empowering.

4. Do you have a go-to flow or self-help hold that you return to often? Why is it your favourite?

It’s so hard to choose a favourite as there are so many excellent flows but yes, I often default to the main central and also the mudras.  These can be practised anywhere.

5. What’s something surprising or fun about you that people might not know?

I am a breast cancer survivor and along with receiving chemo and radio therapy I also received regular Jin Shin Jyutsu.  As a result I had none of the usual effects that are often felt when undergoing chemo and radio.

6. What’s your vision for your work or practice?

To continue to help people find harmony on all levels

7. When talking to someone new about JSJ, what do you most love to share or emphasise?

How you literally have the ability to help yourself - all with the touch of a hand.

8. Do you have a favourite “wow” moment in your JSJ journey that you love to share?

I had a client who, when they visited me, had a severe chest project that was not responding to any treatment prescribed by their doctor. After an hour session they got off the table to go and said, with utter amazement, “My God, I can breathe easily again”.  They said they could feel everything drain away while they were on the table.
